My twitching and trembling has been driving me bonkers. Yesterday at work I noticed something new. The right side of my face felt numb. There was a darker, blurry spot in my right field of vision. I had waves of heat running down my right arm and leg. My husband is worried about my increased fatigue- I am useless around the house- and memory loss. What the hell?
Mr S nagged at me to see the Dr. I'm been weaning off the Lyrica, hoping that is the cause. I've already seen her 3 times since November. I feel like an asshole. Will they think I'm a hypochondriac?
Today, I saw the eye doctor to see what's up with this right eye of mine. There is a normal blind spot to the right bottom field of vision. My vision loss is to the top left, right where I complain about the fuzzy dark spot. My left eye was perfect. He could find no reason why I have this. I am to repeat the test in 3 weeks, and come back sooner if it increases. Lyrica is NOT known to create these particular vision changes- usually it's blurred vision in both eyes or double vision.
I caved and made an appt with Dr L for tomorrow morning. Is this neurological, I wonder? Or am I just insane?

Ugh, that would drive me nutty too.
Sucks when you can't live with the disease and you can't live with the treatment, either. Ugh!
I hope you get it sorted out soon.
No you are not insane and you just definitely get it checked out. peace of mind should help. I loved your previous post on caregivers - so well written!
Good grief! I think 3 weeks is a long time to wait and see. Is there any other way to get diagnosed sooner?
Jeesh. I want to sing that old McDonald's commercial to you: You deserve a break today!
Do you drink diet drinks or eat sugar free stuff? This is so weird, but I just came across your blog on another one, and I was just reading about aspartame side effects and it sounds a lot like some of the things you are experiencing! Sorry if I missed something- I just read the most recent blog, so you may have already ruled this out. If not, check this article out. http://www.sweetpoison.com/aspartame-side-effects.html.
I am by no means a fanatic, I drink diet coke every day! I ahve just been reading and thinking about it a lot lately..
Definitely get it checked. Something is going on and I hope you can figure it out and take care of it.
Yikes. Well, you are not insane. I can tell you that much.
Hope you can get checked out as soon as possible.
Hmm..some of those symptoms sounds like Bells Palsy. I hope you figure out whats up soon, three weeks is a long time to be going nuts! Get better soon!
Not insane, reasonably concerned. Take care, send my best.
Yikes. That would have me good and freaked out. Good luck with the appointment. I know my friend who took Lyrica had some problems with it but not sure what all the problems were.
Oh man, that stinks! I've had the similar they're going to think I'm an asshole hypochondriac feeling. I have so many random things go wrong, and then I have that horrible anxiety of either something really is seriously wrong, or I really am a hypochondriac. sigh.....Get it checked out. I hope you can get some clear answers and start to feel better. Love ya.
You are not a hypochondriac. Trust your gut, and be polite but persistent in insisting that you get a legitimate answer for what is causing your symptoms.
I've spent the past several years with my former family physician telling me I had anxiety and making me think most of my symptoms were in my head. A neurologist told me my tremors are "benign essential tremor." I thought I was crazy and always looking for something to be wrong with my body. Instead, it turns out I've had a thyroid problem (still trying to determine if it's pure hyperthyroidism or a rare form of thyroiditis) for at least 8 years now, according to blood tests that family doc never bothered to mention were abnormal.
sorry you are going through all this....yeesh! hang in there, and fight for answers...you are NOT crazy....
